OTHER SYSTEM or LAW IS INJUSTICE
SUMMARY OF KEY NOTE ADDRESS at The 1st International Conference on Shariah and Social Studies [BICoShs] organised by State Islamic University Imam Bongol , Padang Indonesia
Shariah is defined as commandement of God [Allah] with its primary sources from Al Quran and Sunnah [practises of Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him] and the secondary source known as Fatwa [decision of Islamic council of learned Islamic scholars]. in all aspects of life, which include 3 main aspects namely [1] Aqidah [ Faith in Allah]. [2] Aklak [ Behaviours or characters as being practised by Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him], and [3] Laws and Regulations relating to Ibadat [Worshiping to Allah], Munakahat [ Family or Marriages]. Muamalat [ Commerce ] and Jinayat [ Criminal], with the ultimate objectives of achieving [Maqasid Al Shariah] : [i] Protection of Religion [ii] Protection of Human Life [iii] Protection of Human Intellect [iv] Protection of Human Offspring , and [v] Protection of Wealth & Resources.
When we are talking about Justice, Shariah is a prerequisite in all human activities in order to attain justice. We need to redefine Justice. Justice as defined by western world as 'the proper administration of law: the fair and equitable treatment of all individuals under the law'.
In other word we may conclude that any kind of system which is not in conformation with Shariah is INJUSTICE.
Shariah is from God [Allah ] and it is meant for all mankind and thus it will provide Sustainable Justice to all. Any social and economic developments will result in injustice to mankind, if they are not in accordance with Shariah.
